You’ve lived by others’ standards for a long time.
This is a space for you.

In therapy, what has quietly shaped your life can come into view: old loyalties, unspoken rules, roles learned early, and what your body still remembers. As it does, closeness becomes less costly, conflict less frightening, and your own direction easier to trust. Over time, you may notice you’re living less in reaction, and more by choice.
Somatic, relational, and symbolic therapy, in English and Mandarin.
Psychotherapy is currently provided at Panzica Therapy Group in New York to residents in New York, Texas , and Florida. I am in network with Aetna insurance.
This may be the right place if…
You’ve built a good life through education and effort, but some things don’t yield to effort.
Your body still reacts to old experiences, even when you know you’re safe now” replaces “the knowing hasn’t yet reached your body.
A relationship that matters — with a partner, a sibling, or your parent — keeps returning you to the same painful place.
You say yes when you mean no, and the anger and resentment arrive later, when no one is there to see it.
You’ve lived between countries, cultures, or roles, and neither the old rules nor the new ones quite fit.
You already know a great deal about yourself, but the knowing hasn’t yet reached your body or your choices.
Something has shifted: a new beginning, an ending, a change in direction. The way you’ve been living no longer holds.
Money, dreams, or a recurring image carries a charge you can’t quite name.
What may become possible
Taking up space at work, in love, and in your family, without needing to earn it first.
Feeling safer in your body, so the past no longer sets the pace of your present.
Finding your way back to each other after conflict, and feeling on the same side again.
Meeting your anger as guidance rather than something to swallow or apologize for.
Feeling at home in yourself, wherever you live and in whichever language you’re speaking.
Knowing what you truly want, and letting yourself have it, even when it’s different from what was expected of you.
Making the decision you’ve been circling, and fully embracing it.
Understanding what your symbols carry, and what they may be asking of you.
Why change can feel so heavy
Every transition, even a welcome one, asks us to leave an earlier version of ourselves behind. That’s why a graduation, a move, or a new relationship can bring an unexpected sense of loss.
When earlier losses were never fully grieved, each new change carries their weight too, and the burden feels heavier than the present moment calls for. In therapy, we can tend to what was left unfinished, so you can move forward lighter.
How we work
Honest, without deciding for you. I’ll share what I notice. What it means, and where you go from here, remains yours.
Between languages. You’re welcome to speak in whichever language your feelings live in, and to move between English and Mandarin as you need.
Into your life. What we discover here is meant to be lived — in your relationships, your choices, your days.
You don’t need to arrive with an answer. But you do need to be willing to look.
I specialize in
Somatic Therapy. Early experiences such as neglect, abuse, or growing up without your needs being met often live on in the body long after we’ve understood them. Drawing on Gestalt therapy, Developmental Somatic Psychotherapy, Brainspotting, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, I’ve developed an integrative way of working with what the body still holds, so that patterns formed long ago can gently begin to change.
Relational Therapy. Some conversations feel too daunting to attempt alone. I work with couples, and with any two people in an important relationship, whether siblings, a parent and adult child, or close friends, creating a space where you can speak directly, truly hear each other, and find your way back to connection.
Symbolic Work. Money, dreams, recurring images: some symbols seem to hold a particular charge in our lives. Together, we explore what these symbols carry, the roles they play, and what they may be asking of you.

Individual Therapy
Ongoing, one-on-one work for those who want to understand themselves more deeply, and let that understanding change how they live and love.
How it works
Consultation: A complimentary 15-minute conversation to decide together whether working together feels right.
Beginning: The first few sessions are a time to get to know you, your history, and what you hope will be different, and to shape the focus of our work together.
On-going Sessions: 50-minute sessions at a consistent frequency. Sessions begin weekly; every-other-week sessions become available as we move toward ending. Charged at $250 per session.
We regularly pause to look at what has changed and what still calls for attention, so the work stays alive and purposeful.
Couple & Relationship Counseling
For two people who matter to each other and keep getting stuck in the same place. Most often that’s partners, but it can also be co-parents, an adult child and a parent, or siblings.
Rather than deciding who’s right, we slow the conversation down so each of you can finally be heard, and hear what lies underneath the other’s words. As a certified Imago Relational Therapist, I offer a structured way of talking that makes difficult conversations safer. Over time, you can take it home with you.
What may change: arguments that once spiraled can be repaired. Old hurts lose some of their charge, and you begin to feel like you’re on the same side again.
How it works
Consultation: A complimentary 15-minute conversation with both of you to decide whether working together feels right.
Individual sessions: Before we begin together, I meet with each of you once to learn your history and to make sure couples therapy is safe and appropriate. 60 minutes at $300 per session.
Ongoing sessions: 60 minutes at $300. Sessions begin weekly; every-other-week sessions become available as we move toward ending.
Therapy Intensives
For those who want to go deeper in a concentrated period, rather than week by week. An intensive can help you begin with momentum, move through a turning point, or give a relationship focused attention when weekly sessions aren’t enough. They’re available individually or for couples.
How it works
Consultation: we spend 30 minutes deciding together whether an intensive is a good fit. This is a paid consultation of $100, and if we decide to work together, the fee will be credited towards your intensive.
Preparation: a questionnaire and a 60-minute planning session with each of you respectively to clarify what you hope to work on. Charged at $300/hour.
The intensive: A 2–6 hour intensive at $300/hour with built-in breaks for longer sessions. Breaks are not charged.
Integration: a follow-up session 2–4 weeks afterwards, to bring what opened back into your life. Charged at $300/hour.
